Info & Tips:
This set is a standalone addon for Frozen Lake. You don`t have to own the original set to use the included Skyspheres/HDRIs, but of course it`s a good fit.
Iray:
With the night and aurora HDRIs you might encounter noise or firefly (white pixels) issues, – unfortunately all too common on Iray.
This can happen on dark scenes and is also often caused by reflective materials such as the ice from the Frozen Lake set.
Thus I added a DeNoise render preset so you can get rid of it with a single click. It worked perfect for the night scenes I tested.
Loading the DeNoise preset changes one value: Render Settings / Filtering / Nominal Luminance (from 0 to 80).
Scene Preloads:
Those will only work for owners of “Easy Environments: Frozen Lake”.
They load the scene geometry from that set, but with some material adjustments for the new lighting conditions.
Iray: “Plane Add Emissive Light”:
This is part of the Iray scene preloads. You can Show/Hide it or change the emissive value (surface settings) if you want to add/remove some extra lighting. Technically it`s an invisible plane hovering above the scene.
