Info & Tips:
Ground Surface, Subdivisions / footprint morphs:
All versions are set to render the ground surface with “level 2” subdivisions.
That`s mostly done to give the footprint morphs (trails) a smooth look.
The Daz Studio versions have the preview set to “Subdivisions 1“, so they look fine right away but still improve once you render your image.
On my system this has very little impact on performance, but if you feel the preview is sluggish you could try reducing the preview subdivisions to 0.
Sandstorm Effect (FX) Props:
The scene loads with 4 active FX props. Two “Drift” props (sand blowing at the ground), and two “Sand Puffs” props (small puffs of sand in the air).
You can hide/show each of them.
Camera placement can make a lot of difference, e.g. having the camera close to a prop usually strengthens the effect.
The “Sand Puff” props can also be rotated (around the scene center), in case you want to change the look a bit at a certain camera angle.
On the Daz Studio versions I made the fx-props unselectable in scene view, to avoid them getting in the way of selecting figures or other props. Making stuff selectable/unselectable is done by clicking the icon next to the show/hide “eye” in the object list.
